Paragraph 79 House | Sussex

The brief was to create a new, highly sustainable family home on this previously developed piece of land in a manner that responded to the characteristics of the site and enhanced the surrounding area.

The concept for the project was inspired by the previous use of the site as a quarry and by an image of the material that was used to backfill the quarry. The design has evolved from the shapes and the angles of the bricks and glass shards that were deposited on the site while the old quarry was being backfilled.
